Groovy Couple

Even if creating largely depends on computer tech and it’s sweet benefits, freehand drawing on paper is still necessary, at least for me. When building an illustrated character things always begin with many sketches on different ideas. At first it is not even relevant if drawings are being corny, bit off subject or to the point.

It can begin like this:

I am prone to belief something other happens when we draw by hand: it might be, when drawing (you all know the feeling of finger pictures in the sand) we are free to express anything and the look of a drawing is spontaneous and authentic. I feel also mistakes done can be pretty much seen as a beginning of something exciting and new.

(the whole of Groovy Couple can be seen on my Flickr page. Welcome!)
